Hyde Street Band: Home

Greetings from the Hyde Street MC.

Based out of the Tenderloin in San Francisco, we perform gritty, hard-rocking blues, R&B, rock, and rockabilly music - the songs that move us. I've been asked several times "What kind of music do you play?". I've never had a good answer for this question, but now I think I do. The music being played by this group is a fusion of Classic Rock, Blues, R&B, and Rockabilly. The common thread is that all of our music has a blues backbone. I enjoy various types of music; I find great pleasure in hearing a song in any genre and recognizing it has roots in the fertile grounds of great blues music. It's blues, it's high-energy, it's fun.

The newest star(let) to join Hyde Street Band is Ms Jennifer Johnson from San Jose. Jennifer has changed the 'vibe' of the band with her outstanding vocals, singing flat-out rock songs from AC/DC, Led Zeppelin as well as a great assortment of popular covers (Adele) and some blues ala Joplin/Jagger/Thornton. We will get off our lazy butts some day soon and get some fresh pictures posted with our current line-up.
